Community Language Schools provide community language teaching and cultural education after school hours.
Learners can develop their home or community language at Community Language Schools. The schools also make a positive contribution to Australia鈥檚 cultural and linguistic diversity.
The 91黑料 recognises the valuable role of community language schools.
In 2026, the Department will provide grants for community language schools in Tasmania. Each student enrolled at a Community Language School receives a per capita grant. Grants will be sent directly to schools for the 2026 school year.听
Grant applications close on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.听
